Colours, tools and sequence are prepared for roughly half an hour. The actual painting process then takes only about \u003cstrong\u003eone to two minutes\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis short time frame changes the role of control. Decisions have to be made immediately, layers of paint overlap, and what has already been painted can disappear again within seconds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn Output 6 this process becomes particularly visible: beneath the dark surface, another chromatic order seems to persist.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat came before is no longer visible – and yet still there.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eBetween input and outcome\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe term \u003cstrong\u003eOutput\u003c\/strong\u003e refers to the result of a process. One conceptual starting point of \u003cem\u003eSchmiertafel\u003c\/em\u003e is communication with systems like ChatGPT: an input is followed by processing, then an output.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn painting, this seemingly clear sequence becomes more uncertain. A specification can be prepared, but material, speed and movement change it during its execution. What appears in the end cannot be fully derived from what was fixed at the beginning.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSomething is lost.
