Colours, tools and sequence are prepared for roughly half an hour. The grid specifies where something is supposed to happen. But during execution, its boundaries become permeable. Colors are shifted, layered or carried into neighboring areas.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe order remains visible – together with its deviations.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat happens between input and result?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne conceptual starting point of the \u003cem\u003eSchmiertafel\u003c\/em\u003e is communication with systems like ChatGPT: An input is processed and generates an output.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn painting, this principle becomes a material experiment. Here, too, there is a prepared input: colors, positions, tools, and a sequence. But what actually happens during the brief act of painting cannot be fully predetermined.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe output contains the plan, but also its transformations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can trace back where it began, but not every step that led to its final state.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSomething has happened between the initial premise and the final result.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eOriginal painting by Mark Hellbusch\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eOutput 8\u003c\/em\u003e is a one-of-a-kind original from my studio in Wiesbaden.
