A new work from the series "Remains of an Experiment"
The painting "RE 17" is a new artwork from my ongoing series "Remains of an Experiment." This work is based on the creative remnants of a previous project called "Organic Grounds," where organic color gradients and patterns played a central role. "RE 17" uses these "remnants" to create a dense, colorful structure that captivates the viewer's gaze.
RE 17 as an eye-catcher: Art for large spaces
With its dimensions of 100x140 cm, "RE 17" is an ideal piece of art for larger spaces. Its colorful design dominates and invites you to engage more deeply with the details. Especially in bright, open spaces, the painting unfolds its full effect, bringing energy and vibrancy to the room.
A work related to the "Organic Grounds" series
The colors and patterns in "RE 17" are not chosen randomly. They are based on the remnants of my previous project "Organic Grounds," which intensely explored the natural arrangement and flow of colors. The dense color dots seen in "RE 17" emerged through the creative process of this project, giving the work a deeper meaning and connection to nature. The painting features two glued and framed color fields from the "Organic Grounds" series.
Color dots in focus: The structure of the painting
Each individual color dot in "RE 17" contributes to the unique structure of the work. The dots seem to dance on the canvas and change their effect depending on the viewing angle and light incidence. This dynamic structure gives the painting a lively and almost tangible quality that sets the room in motion.
Colors and details: The harmony in diversity
Although "RE 17" may appear chaotic at first glance, it is a carefully orchestrated interplay of colors. The seemingly random arrangement of the dots creates a surprising harmony upon closer inspection. It is this duality of randomness and order that makes "RE 17" so intriguing.
The series "Remains of an Experiment": Art from traces and remnants
"RE 17" is part of my series "Remains of an Experiment," which is based on reinterpreting traces and remnants from creative processes. What once was considered a color experiment or trial becomes the centerpiece of a new artwork in this series. "RE 17" shows how unique compositions can arise from creative accidents and seemingly leftover materials.
