A three-dimensional wall art object
“RE 15” is part of my experimental art series “Reste eines Experiments” (Remnants of an Experiment). This work goes far beyond a conventional canvas and transforms into a three-dimensional wall object that occupies the space with its colors and structures and makes it tangible. With an impressive depth of 10 cm, “RE 15” becomes a wall sculpture that creates an interaction between artwork and viewer.
Thanks to its multidimensional execution, this work feels almost tangible, as if it were protruding from the wall into the room. The “Remains of an Experiment” series deals with the recycling of materials and the creative redesign of remnants from my painting processes. These elements were recomposed in “RE 15” and developed into a harmonious, colourful art object.
The creation of RE 15: art from everyday materials
“RE 15” is a striking example of my artistic approach of creating artworks from everyday materials. The paint cups you see in the piece come from numerous projects and experiments. Over time, layers of paint accumulated in them, left behind in the course of my work. These “remnants of an experiment” were incorporated into “RE 15” to give them new meaning. Waste becomes art – and from simple materials emerges a work that goes far beyond pure painting.

What makes “RE 15” special is its three-dimensional structure. The colourful circles, which at first glance may appear to be flat colours, project plastically from the wall.
