Caterpillar – Colors in motion
A monumental paint-box sculpture for the wall
“Caterpillar” (140 × 170 × 5 cm, 2014) is a work that appears like a huge wall sculpture. The oversized paint box unfolds across almost two square meters and radiates pure energy with its intense color palette. Vertical bands of color in yellow, blue, violet, red, and orange alternate, traversed by lively traces, splatters, and layers.
Beneath them, round paint pans are lined up like segments – a rhythmic pattern that gives the work its name. “Caterpillar” appears like a living organism of color in motion. It is powerful, expressive and at the same time characterized by a playful sense of order.
