Nature motif between expression, color and modern art

“Rare Bird I” (2024) combines the lightness of the motif with an expressive, abstract visual language. Shades of green and brown flow into one another to form the suggested body of the bird, while transparent areas and spontaneous splashes intensify its vitality.

The white ground makes the color fields appear particularly light, as if they were floating in space. Between recognizable figure and open composition, a dynamic emerges that brings the act of flying itself into the picture – free, energetic and poetic.

This work is now in a private collection. “Rare Bird I” highlights the artistic signature of Atelier Hellbusch: motifs from nature are not merely depicted, but made newly tangible in their movement and vitality.
