The Cheerful Circle – Colors in Conversation
A large-format paint-box painting full of lightness
“The Cheerful Circle” (120 × 150 × 4 cm, 2012) unfolds a lively colour composition reminiscent of a convivial gathering. Light pink, yellow and blue tones dominate the large areas in the upper part, while strong accents in black, red and green below create contrasts.
The rectangular fields appear like small squares where colors enter into dialogue with one another. Splashes, overlays, and impasto structures reinforce the impression of movement and lightheartedness. “The Cheerful Circle” is a painting that conveys optimism and joy – an artistic celebration in color.
