In the End Green - contemporary abstract painting in green

Price

The paintings in “In the End Green” consist primarily of green Colour fields. They are light green and dark green Layers of colour that form a composition. The paintings are named after first names. The abstract works appear contemporary and understated. They need good light to unfold their full effect.

Between the composition and the title of the paintings, the abstract becomes concrete.

Dark green “shadows” can be seen on the green color fields of the paintings. In abstract form, they are the shadows of an enormous, moving tornado. They appear powerful, dynamic and at the same time threatening.

Each painting in the “In the End Green” series bears a common first name as its title. The connection between human and nature becomes particularly clear here, since names are also used for high- and low-pressure weather systems. The abstract forms can therefore be linked to something very concrete.

"Thick, colorful layers of paint are poured onto the canvas lying on the floor. Small things from forest and meadow are placed into the paint. Once finally dry, painting and sanding alternate again and again – until the shadows of a weather front appear."

An optimal presentation of the contemporary paintings requires plenty of light – furnishing ideas.

When properly presented, the paintings in the “In the End Green” series can appear very elegant and contemporary. Unlike paintings with strong contrasts, the eye can only truly grasp this kind of work if it can perceive the color depth in combination with the fine structures in every detail. Sufficient light is therefore absolutely essential. A spotlight can help the painting fully unfold its refined appearance.

Complex structures in green: the underpainting.

The ground was built up from thick, colorful layers of acrylic paint. In addition, leaves and branches as well as their imprints can be seen everywhere. This creates an organic tactility that – sometimes clearly, sometimes subtly – remains even after the painting is finished. After drying, the primed images are sanded with sandpaper and sealed with binder. Only then does the painting on the picture begin.

The color green stands for nature, and therefore for us.

Very thin layers of different greens, ochres, browns, yellows, and blues are applied. After several layers of paint, a green chromatic depth emerges that blends elegantly with the complex structures of the ground. The green recalls the complexity of nature.
