Abstract paintings presented in frames
A frame changes the effect of a painting. It creates distance from the wall, defines the pictorial space and gives the painting additional presence. In many cases, the image is thus perceived more strongly as an independent object in the room.
Some of my abstract paintings are deliberately presented in frames. The frame can emphasize the structure of the painting, clearly define the pictorial space, or create a calm transition between wall and image.
Depending on the work, this creates a different perception: some paintings appear more focused and calm thanks to the frame, while others gain additional depth and spatial presence.
Framed works in my groups of works
Framed works are created primarily in certain groups of my paintings. These include, for example, works from the paint box, selected RE-paintings as well as individual works on paper or smaller formats.
The frame is understood not only as protection or a form of presentation, but as part of the overall impact of the work.
