Abstract painting with a dominant orange effect

Orange is one of the colors with a particularly strong spatial and emotional effect. In abstract painting, orange can create warmth, energy and movement. Depending on the intensity of the color, very different pictorial spaces emerge – from luminous, almost glowing areas to earthy or calm color atmospheres.

In my work, the dominance of orange emerges in different ways. Sometimes an orange-colored ground forms the starting point of a painting, on which further layers of color develop. In other works, the effect arises from the painting process itself – from overlapping layers of paint, traces, or fragments.

In this way, orange can appear both as a powerful main colour and emerge from a complex interplay of different colours.

Orange in my series

Orange plays a role in various groups of my work. Especially in experimental pieces and series in which colour emerges as movement or as a visible process, the orange effect can take on a central role.

Series such as Splash, Redwind or individual works from the paint box also give rise to paintings in which orange defines the entire pictorial space or acts as an energetic color accent.
