Organic Grounds: Contemporary, experimental painting
The "Organic Grounds" collection captivates with its graceful spatiality. Up close, fascinating structures and colors reveal themselves, reminiscent of nature and cultivated soil – meadows, fields and demarcated plots of land. This effect is created by the controlled throwing of paint in various consistencies and layers until a sense of space emerges from the initial chaos.
Abstraction and Association
Regardless of how abstract art may appear at first glance, the works in the “Organic Grounds” exhibition evoke concrete associations. When viewing the large-format paintings, you are reminded of landscapes that leave room for individual interpretation. The interplay of the many layers of color and textures creates a unique sense of space and a visual stimulus that gives rise to modern artworks that are at once calm and invigorating.
Decorative, abstract paintings
The works of "Organic Grounds" are more than just abstract art. They also address the aspect of ownership. The word "Grounds" points to the connection between nature and cultivated landscape, often also as private property. The chaotic interplay of colors is ordered by the subtly conveyed sense of space, while colored structures recall flowers, grasses or ears of grain and suggest spontaneous growth. Despite these concrete associations, the paintings lead to abstract reflections on the subject of (agri)culture and economics.
A modern artistic standard
My artistic ambition lies in the sophistication of the finished paintings: the colors are thrown onto the canvas in many layers and consistencies until an impression of spatial depth and complexity emerges that characterizes modern artworks. This experimental method fosters a calm, understated order amid the complexity.
