Red Paintings – Abstract Art in Red

Red is one of the most intense colors in my painting. In many works, its impact does not arise as a single color field, but from layers, traces, and overlaps in which different shades blend with one another. This creates pictorial spaces in which red shapes the character of the entire painting.
Sometimes this color emerges directly and determines how the painting is perceived. In other works, its presence arises from deeper layers of color, from fragments, or from an experimental approach to paint. In this way, red can appear both as a powerful surface and as a color that seems to act from within the painting itself.
This color world becomes particularly visible in groups of works such as Redwind or in individual pieces from Splash. Here, red unfolds a tension between energy, movement, and chromatic depth.
The following works show different manifestations of this color world within my painting.
Red as energy in the pictorial space
Red can create a special intensity in painting. In many of my works, this effect develops from layers, paint residues and dynamic traces that lend the image a lively structure.
