Between calm and whirlwind
“Chris” from the series In the End Green shows a subtle composition of green color fields made up of lighter and darker layers. What at first appears calm unfolds a dynamic depth on closer inspection: curved forms recall clouds whose shadows are cast by a moving low-pressure system.
In this way, abstraction becomes something very concrete – nature itself.
Human and nature connected
Like all works in the series, "Chris" also bears a first name. This is no coincidence, since low-pressure weather systems are likewise named after people. This creates a connection: the abstract image moves directly into the realm of something everyday, something human.
Presentation with radiance
For the fine structures and color nuances to fully unfold, “Chris” needs good lighting. A bright room or a focused spotlight makes the organic structures and color depth appear refined and contemporary.
Painting with organic tactility
The priming was built up from thick, colorful acrylic layers into which leaves and twigs were embedded. After sanding and sealing, oil paints in fine layers of green, ocher, brown, yellow, and blue were applied. This creates a depth that recalls the complexity of nature – and at the same time is a projection of ourselves.
Good to know about the presentation
The painting is signed on the back, and the edges are painted green. It can be hung immediately and is already protected with varnish.
The photos show an authentic representation, but may differ slightly from the original colors depending on the light. Additional room views were created with the Smartist app to make the effect in interiors realistically tangible.
