RE 29 – Painterly Detours on a Green Ground (30 x 24 cm)
A rich green pictorial ground – almost monochrome – on which colored traces spread out seemingly at random, revealing multi-layered processes: “RE 29” is a painting that celebrates the accidental without losing the artistic impulse. It is part of the series Remnants of an Experiment by Mark Hellbusch and was created in 2025 at Atelier Hellbusch.
Colors as Traces of Doing
Drops, streaks, bold brushstrokes: In “RE 29,” intuitive gestures meet deliberate decisions. The seemingly incidental color islands in violet, rust red, turquoise, and neon yellow create a field of tension between surface and depth. This work documents painterly detours – traces of the artistic process that have become an independent visual language.
Art for the eye that likes to think further
“RE 29” cannot be pinned down to a single motif – it lives from not knowing, from the “in-between,” from pausing. As a smaller work (30 x 24 cm), it is ideal for curated walls, creative workspaces, or as a visual statement in an entrance area.
