A modern view of a classic motif

“Still Life with Fruit” (100 × 110 × 4 cm, 2012) translates the classic motif of the fruit bowl into an abstract, color-intense visual language. Instead of apples, grapes, or lemons, bold color fields and round plates appear, symbolizing fertility, sensuality, and vibrancy.

Radiant red, rich yellow, fresh green and deep blue structure the composition. In between, vibrant blended areas emerge where colors overlap and form new nuances. The impasto surface and the visible traces of the painting process make the work almost tangible – like a feast for the senses.
