“The Last Snow” – paint box as poetic pictorial space

With “The Last Snow”, the paint box becomes the starting point for a multi-layered, abstract pictorial composition. The familiar motif serves as a structuring element, while the title opens up an additional atmospheric level. Between memory and the present, an open field of association emerges that allows for individual interpretations.

Color and composition

The work lives from the interplay of nuanced color fields and free, experimental traces. Contrasts and transitions create zones of tension that shift between calm and movement. The oversized form of the paintbox extends the classic picture plane and lends the painting a spatial presence.

Material and construction

The wall sculpture is based on a combination of wooden strips, canvas, and framing elements. The layered construction creates a relief-like surface with tangible depth. Acrylic and oil paints as well as binding agents were used for the painterly elaboration, giving the work a lively, multi-layered structure.

Open perception

“The Last Snow” is intended as an invitation to free interpretation. The combination of painting, object and title creates a space for thought in which personal memories and ideas can be stimulated.
