An unusual way to display art.

The abstract landscape painting “Field of Mars XLII” measures 30 × 24 cm and consists of colorful paint residues and binder. Acrylic paints, oil paints, and varnish residues interact with each other in the most varied combinations of color, form, and size. The paint residues consist of small paint fragments of approx. 0.2 cm to 0.4 cm in diameter. It is the gaps and recesses between the paint residues that create an unusual tactility. This allows art to be presented in a very special way.

An experimental painting made from paint remnants.

From a distance, the work initially appears to depict a reddish or sandy surface. As you take a few steps toward the painting, you realize that the work is completely colorful and made up of small leftover paint fragments. The modern painting becomes more concrete the longer you look: in your mind, wind, water, and natural erosion emerge.

The "Field of Mars" works look very elegant in vertical or horizontal rows. In this way, even larger spaces can be decorated with the small-format Marsfeld pieces. For pictures hanging side by side, it is important to note that difference is crucial. A crater that appears yellow-brown from a distance, between beach-like reddish wave structures and a whirlpool that appears grayish, is more inspiring to the eye than several craters of the same size next to each other.

These can quickly be overlooked as mere patterns. Also interesting is the price: The paintings on the theme “Field of Mars” are not cheap, but in relation to their quality they are extremely good value. For some, this means a relatively low-risk entry into the world of contemporary art. For others, it may be the opportunity to design smaller rooms in a modern, interesting and affordable way. With this kind of art, you make a quiet exclamation mark. The paint residues alone, as the defining element of the image, give your interior something highly original. Don’t hesitate to ask me for an art consultation before you buy paintings.
