The canvas as the foundation for the painting.
The large-format picture was constructed from wooden slats, plant saucer, canvas and stretcher frame. The painting object "Am Lagerfeuer" ("By the Campfire") measures 100 x 110 cm and was established in 2024 in Wiesbaden. I first glued and screwed together the canvas and the different types of stretcher bars. The paint palettes are small ready-made frames for pictures from the hardware store.Acrylic and oil paints, glue, and binder were used for painting and working on the abstract painting.
Through experimental painting, an abstract artwork emerges
Through the juxtaposition of graceful colour fields, fields of tension in form and colour emerge. On the one hand, there are the primary colours yellow, orange, red, green, blue, violet, brown as well as white and black. These colours appear in this or a similar way in almost every paint box. On the other hand, there are the “used” paint pans, the colourful spaces in between and the coloured edge area. The spatial effect of the colours created by contrasts is further intensified by the (real) shadows cast by the paint box. With the modern, experimental painting on the oversized paint box, an abstract artwork is created in the form of a painted wall sculpture. The result of the painting process, the symbolic power of the paint box and the guidance provided by a title (“By the Campfire”) invite association. Once the viewer’s imagination has been set in motion in a variety of ways, an open, often very personal process of abstraction emerges.
Free shipping.
Delivery (Wiesbaden and surrounding area) or shipping of the artwork is free of charge. During (Hessian) school holidays, there may be delays due to vacation. Delivery breaks are communicated in the header of the homepage.
The abstract painting can be presented in any orientation - it has no "top" or "bottom".
There is no “top” or “bottom”; the abstract painting can be displayed in any orientation. That is why it has been signed on the back. If there is a lot of light opposite the painting sculpture – for example through a window – a matte varnish should be used if necessary. This should be sprayed onto the painting no earlier than the end of 2024. You will achieve optimal presentation if there is space around the painting. The width of the wall surface should be at least 2.5 and at most 5 meters.
