Two paintings become a work of art.
"RE3" is a work of art that falls into the category "Remnants of an Experiment." It consists of two "Organic Grounds" paintings glued on top of each other, which undergo a "correction" by cutting away or pasting over. They are thus revived as "remnants."
This large-format abstract painting was created using a mixed technique of acrylic, water-mixable oil paint, and varnish. However, the term 'painted' doesn't quite capture the method, as the colors were more thrown and splattered, resulting in a highly experimental outcome.
Many colors and structures.
The diversity of structure and color in this artwork is impressive. The size of the dots and strokes of paint, as well as the changes in brightness, play a crucial role in spatial perception. The throwing and flowing of the paint were repeatedly interrupted during the painting process to control the spatial effect. The result is a natural variety in color and structure that addresses the viewer in an unusual, abstract way. Particularly striking are the light ochre, yellow, and white tones, which mix in complex ways with smaller portions of brown, blue, red, green, and orange to create spatial depth.
The brightness of the painting subtly changes from top to bottom. In the upper half, the colors are bright, pointillistic, and small, while in the lower half, they become somewhat darker, more linear, and larger. These variations give the impression of standing before a vibrant meadow or field.
Despite the abundance of colors and textures, "RE3" has an overall subtle effect and can be enjoyed both from a distance and up close. The composition is minimalist and based entirely on experimenting with poured paint. In a modern living space, this large-format painting creates a contemporary atmosphere.
Further information:
“RE3” is signed and its edges are painted white so it can be hung directly on the wall. The inner frame is narrow and painted white, the outer one is a floater frame. Parquet adhesive was used for gluing.
Shipping of the artwork is free of charge, and delivery usually takes place on Tuesdays (Wiesbaden and surrounding area) or by arrangement.
