"Rare Marmot" from the “Out of the Light” series shows colorful Color areas. The color areas create a an abstract composition that at the same time forms a marmot. The artwork appears very modern in its reduced, light impression.

The ease of painting leads to the magical.

The lightness of the painting arises from the brightness of the white-primed canvas in combination with the earthy, gracefully applied color fields. Together they create a stimulating, seemingly random composition. The grace of the color fields is crucial for the calm yet lively perception of the composition, as it allows the viewer to shift perspective even after looking for a longer time. Parts of the color fields define the form of the marmot, while the colors – in part – convey spatial depth. The magic emerges between the concrete outline of the marmot and the abstract composition of the color fields.

The contemplation of abstract painting and concrete motifs creates an interaction of perception.

Although the painting is experimental, it is still “reined in” at certain boundaries. The outline of the marmot acts as a kind of barrier when mixing the colors. This ensures that the motif remains perceptible. The choice of colors is not entirely random either: the animal motif is shown in the colors of its surroundings. In this way, spontaneous compositions of form and color emerge within the framework of a concept. Since the motif is constructed only along part of the boundaries of the color mixtures, the eye repeatedly shifts back to the abstract overall composition.

Good to know about the contemporary painting in "Seltenes Murmeltier".

Despite the many colors, the contemporary animal motif "Seltenes Murmeltier" (“Rare Marmot”) has a rather subtle effect and can be enjoyed both from a distance and up close.

The glazes in the painting create great color depth.

The painting “Rare Marmot” is signed, and the edges are painted white. The artwork can therefore be displayed immediately – with two nails in the wall. If you would prefer to have a frame made for the painting, I recommend visiting a specialist shop near you or ordering a frame online (40 × 30 cm is a standard size, so the range of frames will be very large).

The presentation of the artwork is authentic, but not perfect.

The photos you see above were taken by me to the best of my ability. Since I'm not a professional photographer, the colors you see may slightly differ from the original. There might also be some room for improvement in lighting or resolution here and there. I strive to provide an authentic representation of the artworks.

The photos showing the painting in a room were created using the app "Smartist". This app can frame paintings and allows for a clean, stylish presentation in different interiors. The size ratio of painting to room is reproduced exactly. The painting is sold without a frame.

Free shipping.

Delivery (Wiesbaden and surrounding areas) or shipping of the artwork usually takes place on Tuesdays and is free of charge. If needed, another appointment can be arranged.
