Claim 93 - Painting in warm colors 95 x 120 cm

Experimental painting – the paint throw leads to abstraction.

Painted with a mixed technique, consisting of acrylic, water-mixable oil paint, and varnish. However, the term "painted" doesn't quite apply to this technique. The colors were rather thrown and sprayed, so it is experimental painting. The result is a large-format abstract painting.

Variety of structure and color in the painting – the size of the color dots and strokes, as well as the change in brightness, determine the spatial perception.

To control the spatial effect, the throw of paint – and thus the flow of colour – is repeatedly interrupted for drying phases. The experimental application is repeated with different colours until a natural variety in colour and texture emerges. Above all, the warm colours orange, yellow and red, but also green, blue, brown and white blend here in a complex way and, through their differently long flows (dot-like and small at the top of the picture, linear and large at the bottom), create a perceptible spatiality. The eye repeatedly lingers on the pattern-free structures and stimulates the viewer in an unusual, abstract way. There is also a subtle change in brightness. The further you move down the picture, the stronger the colours become. This creates the impression of standing in front of a meadow or at the edge of a field.

Despite the many colors, “Claim 93” has a rather subtle overall effect and can be enjoyed both from a distance (perception of spatial depth) and up close (variety of structure and color). The composition is very minimal and is created entirely through experimenting with thrown paint. Anyone who likes the colors and structures will be very surprised by the effect: in no time at all, a very modern atmosphere emerges in your living space.
