Private Collection: My paintings in private hands

Many of the works shown here are now in private collections. Some hang in apartments, others in houses, offices or open spaces where they have become part of everyday life over many years. This page brings together works that have found their place – and at the same time offers insight into different phases of my painterly practice. Among them are paintings from series that have now been completed.

My painting moves between abstraction and figuration. I am not interested in the unequivocal image, but in tension: between surface and space, control and openness, calm and energy. Some works are created impulsively, others evolve slowly over many layers. Colour plays a central role – not as decoration, but as the determining force of the image.

All works shown are original paintings. Unique pieces created in my studio. The works gathered here are representative of different phases, formats and thematic areas of my painting – from reduced compositions to large-scale, more physical works. New series are created on an ongoing basis, currently focusing in particular on the themes “Smear Board” and “The Palette.”
