A source of inspiration in art: colorful painting on the paint box.
The mental leaps that the paint box as a symbol evokes lead many viewers back to childhood. The title “Der Sommer” (“The Summer”) is an invitation to steer your own associations in a different direction without losing your personal touch. The colorful paint box becomes a source of inspiration – from concrete to abstract.
The construction of the paint box.
The paint box was built from wooden slats, canvas, and small plant saucers. The wall sculpture "The Summer" measures 80 x 110 cm and was created in 2023 in Wiesbaden. I first glued and screwed together the color fans, the canvas, and the different types of slats. Acrylic and oil paints, glue, and binder were used for painting and finishing the piece.
The paint box becomes modern, abstract art.
The juxtaposition of graceful color fields creates tension fields in form and color. Through experimental painting on the oversized paint box, modern abstract art emerges as a wall sculpture. The result of the experimental painting, the symbolic power of the paint box, and the guidance of a title ("The Summer") invite association. Once imagination is sparked, it can be stimulated in many different ways in the viewer.

Artwork shipments are free of charge. During (Hessian) school holidays, there may be delays due to vacation. Delivery breaks are communicated in the header of the homepage.

About the artist Mark Hellbusch
I have been a freelance painter since 1997 and have worked with a wide variety of themes in painting. While until 2007 I was occupied almost exclusively with expressive painting, today my focus lies more on experimental art.
