Abstract art with green layers of color and quiet depth

“Clara” (45 × 48 cm, 2026) is a work from the series “In the End Green” and occupies a more open, light-permeable realm of abstract painting. The green layers of paint appear less condensed and more expansive and flowing, giving the painting a particular sense of calm.

Here, abstract art does not appear as a clear form, but as an interplay of transitions, fine shifts and a surface that reveals itself slowly.

Between surface and structure

A gentle concentration emerges at the centre, which does not dominate but feels more like a quiet impulse within the surface. From there, the green tones unfold in all directions.

The abstract structure remains restrained. It only reveals itself on closer inspection in the form of fine elevations, slight fractures and organic traces that have inscribed themselves into the surface. It is precisely this interplay between calm surface and subtle structure that gives the work its appeal.

Nature as a quiet trace in abstract art

In “Clara”, traces of nature are present without pushing into the foreground. In the lower area, plant-like structures can be discerned that appear as fragments within the painting.

These elements connect the abstract art with something familiar without defining it. The painting remains open and allows for different associations.

Effect in Space

With its calmer presence, “Clara” is particularly well suited to spaces where a restrained yet still clearly present work is desired.

The image changes with the light and gains depth especially with lateral illumination, when the fine structures become visible.
