An experiment on canvas.
The experimental landscape painting “Field of Mars CLI” measures 30 × 24 cm and consists of leftover paint glued to canvas with binder. The leftover paint used for this painting is colorful. Acrylic paints, oil paints, and varnish residues interact on the canvas in the most diverse variations of color, shape, and size. The sizes of the paint residues range from very fine dust to paint chunks with a diameter of about 0.8 cm. It is the differences in size of the paint residues that allow for a composition. Below are some key facts about the painting.
Fine abstract art from paint remnants.
From a distance, the work initially appears to depict an earthy or sandy, beach-like surface. As you take a few steps toward the painting, you realize that the work is completely colorful and made up of fine paint residues. The abstract painting becomes more concrete the longer you look: in your mind, wind, water and eventually the morphology of a beach emerge.
"Field of Mars CLI" is a small painting. It comes into its own best in a small room, a hallway, on a staircase, or in a niche. The unusual spatiality—the truly tactile (three-dimensional) quality combined with the contrasts (two-dimensional)—together with the simple composition creates a very original and refined ambience that can only be fully explored over time. The spatial and compositional effect is extremely subtle, so that a very delicate, elegant, and stimulating presence emanates from this work.

The 'Martian fields' appear veryelegant in vertical or horizontal rowsThis way, even larger rooms can be decorated with the small-format Mars fields. When hanging pictures side by side, it's important to note that their differences are crucial. A crater that appears yellow-brown from a distance, situated between wave-like red structures reminiscent of a beach and a grayish whirlpool, is more visually inspiring than several craters of the same size next to each other. The latter can quickly be overlooked as a pattern.

It is also interesting that Price: The paintings on the theme of “Field of Mars” are not cheap, but extremely affordable in relation to their quality. For one person, this means a relatively low-risk entry into the world of art. For another, perhaps the opportunity to make even smaller rooms modern, interesting and inexpensive. With this kind of art you set a quiet exclamation mark. The mere use of leftover paint as the defining element of the image gives your interior something very original.
