“Field of Mars CXXII” is a fascinating abstract artwork that I created in 2021 on a 30 x 24 cm canvas. The minimalist, sandy texture and the central crater motif invite you to explore the surface of a distant planet or a landscape from dreams. With a subtle color palette and organic structures, this work conveys a very special atmosphere.
Structure and colors – a sandy balance with colorful accents
The texture of the painting is inspired by natural and planetary surfaces. Fine paint residues were layered in a sandy form to create the foundation of the work. The calm, sand-colored tones are enlivened by bright accents of red, blue, yellow, and other colors, creating a unique balance between restraint and vibrancy.
Crater and depth – a modern interpretation
The central crater motif enhances the three-dimensionality of the work and gives it depth and focus. This element is reminiscent of the geology of an alien planet or the natural form of sand dunes shaped by wind and time. It encourages the viewer to engage with themes such as space, nature, and abstraction.
Art for modern spaces and collections
With its compact size of 30 x 24 cm, “Marsfeld CXXII” is ideal for smaller niches. The minimalist color scheme and three-dimensional tactility make this work a focal point that unfolds a subtle, elegant effect in any room.
