An unusual way of presenting art.

The experimental landscape painting "Field of Mars LIV" measures 30 x 24 cm and consists of leftover paint and binder. The leftover paints used for this painting are colorful. Acrylic paints, oil paints and varnish residues interact with each other in the most diverse variations of color, shape and size. The paint remnants range from paint crumbs of approx. 0.1 cm to 0.2 cm in diameter. It is the gaps and recesses between the paint remnants that create an unusual tactile quality. This allows art to be presented in a very special way. Below are some key facts about the painting.

An experimental painting made from paint remnants.

From a distance, the work initially appears to depict an earthy or sandy surface. Taking a few steps toward the painting, you realize that the work is completely colorful and consists of small paint residues. The abstract painting becomes concrete through prolonged viewing: in your mind, wind, water and natural erosion emerge.

A small format for a niche in the room.

"Marsfeld LIV" makes the strongest impression in a bright room. The unusual spatiality – the haptics (three-dimensional) combined with the contrasts (two-dimensional) – creates a special ambience that can only be gradually explored. The spatial effect is extremely subtle, so that a very delicate, elegant, and stimulating aura emanates from this painting, which you can also purchase at an affordable price. As a single piece, the small format comes into its own well in a niche in the room.

Field of Mars pieces can also be beautifully displayed in vertical or horizontal rows.

This kind of modern art is not accessible to everyone. Nevertheless, the result of experimental painting can spark curiosity. The juxtaposition of old (paint remnants) and new (painting) and the Title "Field of Mars" – incidentally, a place of political debate in ancient Rome – evokes associations with the terms "Mars" and "field."

The presentation of the artwork is authentic but not perfect.

The photos you see above were taken by me—as best as I could. Since I'm not a professional photographer, the colors you see may differ slightly from the original. The lighting or resolution could certainly be better here and there. I strive to present an authentic image of the artworks.

The photos showing the painting in the room were created using the "Smartist" app. This app can frame paintings and allows for a clean, stylish presentation in different rooms. The size ratio of painting to room is accurately represented.
