A dense carpet of color and history

This Marsfeld dates from 2015 – and impressively shows how intensely color can condense over time. Created from paint residues, the painting is at the same time a visual archive of earlier works. The application of paint appears like organic growth, reminiscent of blooming fields, mineral soils or microscopic landscapes.

Colors as traces of time

I collected the leftover paint used in this work over a longer period of time and applied it in layers. This not only creates a complex structure, but also a sense of temporality – as if the painting were a kind of geological formation, created through artistic sedimentation.

Inspiration through nature and process

“Field of Mars XCVI” arose from observing natural structures: compacted earth, mossy surfaces, organic textures. I translate these impressions into an abstract visual language – reduced, yet still full of movement and life.

An artwork with quiet strength

Despite the abundance of color particles, the work radiates calm. The subtle differences in density and color distribution invite prolonged viewing. It is perfect for places where concentration and depth are required – from the studio to a private retreat.
