Field of Mars CXXXIII – Harmony of colour, texture and form
A meditative play of leftover paint and space
In this work, the focus is on compositional harmony: color, texture, and form merge into a unified whole. From countless paint remnants of past painting processes emerges a dense, almost meditative surface, traversed by circular lines that evoke geological formations or gently modeled landscapes. Despite its abstract conception, the work appears astonishingly alive – as if it were breathing on its own.
Sustainable aesthetics – painting from leftover paint
For this painting I worked exclusively with leftover paint – remnants of other works that are brought to new life here. This deliberate choice of materials not only creates a special tactility and structure, but also alludes to cyclical processes of destruction and renewal in art.
Texture as a vehicle of expression
The painting lives from its physically tangible surface. Depending on the light conditions, new details constantly appear: tiny pigments, fragments, nuances. The circular form at the centre opens up the view and creates depth – almost like an abstract crater resting in the mixture of colours.
For modern spaces with depth
This Field of Mars is particularly suitable for people who love clear compositions with subtle complexity. It unfolds its effect both in minimally furnished spaces and as a chromatic counterbalance to vibrant interiors.
