Rainforest – colors full of depth and mystery

A paint-box painting like a dense cosmos

“Jungle” (80 × 80 × 4 cm, 2014) is a work that, in strong, earthy and at the same time luminous colours, lets the image of a dense, mysterious world emerge. Shades of green and yellow dominate the composition, interwoven with warm orange and red as well as dark nuances reminiscent of shadows.

The clear color fields in the upper area resemble tree trunks or layers of vegetation, while the round color plates below evoke the rhythm of a vibrant forest. “Primeval Forest” is a painting that unites strength, depth, and diversity – an abstract cosmos of color.

Sold – and now in private ownership

This work from the series „Der Farbkasten“ is now in a private collection. “Urwald” is exemplary of the nature associations that accompany many of Mark Hellbusch’s works and shows how abstract painting creates atmospheric spaces.
