The colorful painting shows an abstract animal motif: the hare made of graceful color fields.

"Rare Hare" from the series “Out of the Light” shows colourful, graceful Color fields, strokes, paint drops, and imprints of water-mixable oil paint. The color fields create a abstract composition that at the same time suggests a rabbit. The lightness in the painting arises primarily from the reduced approach to painting.

The lightness of the painting leads to the magical.

The lightness of the painting arises from the brightness of the white-primed canvas in combination with the colorful, gracefully applied areas of color. These create a stimulating, seemingly random composition. The grace of the color fields is crucial for the calm yet lively perception of the composition, as they allow the viewer to keep shifting their view even after looking for a long time. Parts of the color fields define the shape of the rabbit, while the colors partly convey the spatiality. The magic emerges between the concrete outline of the animal and the abstract composition of the color fields.

Viewing the abstract painting and the concrete motif creates an interplay of perception.

Although the painting is experimental, it is still "reined in" at certain boundaries. The outline of the hare acts as a kind of barrier when the colors are mixed. This ensures that the motif remains perceptible. The choice of colors is not entirely random either: the animal motif is shown in the colors of itself and its surroundings. In this way, spontaneous compositions of form and color emerge within a conceptual framework. Since the motif is constructed only across part of the boundaries of the color blends, the eye repeatedly shifts back to the abstract overall composition.

Good to know about the contemporary painting in "Seltener Hase".

Despite the many colors, the modern animal motif has a rather subtle effect and can be enjoyed both from a distance and up close.

The painting is signed, and the edges are painted white. The artwork can therefore be displayed immediately – with two nails in the wall. If you would prefer to have a frame made for the painting, I recommend visiting a specialist shop near you or ordering a frame online (50 x 40 cm is a standard size, so the range of frames will be very large).

The presentation of the artwork is authentic, but not perfect.

The shots you see above were taken by me – as well as I can. Since I am not a professional photographer, the colors you see may differ slightly from the original.

The photos showing the painting in the room were created using the "Smartist" app. This app can frame paintings and allows for a tidy, chic presentation in different rooms. The size ratio of painting to room is accurately reproduced. The painting is sold without a frame.

But you are very welcome to visit me in the studio or at ARTLET if you would like to take a look at the original.

The free shipping.

The delivery (Wiesbaden and surrounding areas) or the shipping of the artwork usually takes place on Tuesdays and is free of charge. If needed, a different date can be arranged. During (Hessian) school holidays, there may be delays due to vacations. Delivery pauses are communicated in the header of the homepage. Shipping is generally free of charge.
