A source of inspiration in art: the colorful paint box as a wall sculpture.
The mental leaps that the colorful paint box as a symbol generates often lead viewers towards childhood. The title "Still Life with Flowers" is an invitation to steer one's own associations in a different direction without losing the personal touch. Through the juxtaposition of graceful color fields, tension fields in form and color emerge. The result of experimental painting, the symbolic power of the paint box as well as the assistance of a title invite one to associate. Once the imagination is sparked, it can be stimulated in a variety of ways for the viewer. The wall sculpture thus becomes a source of inspiration.
Canvases as the basis for the construction of the paint box.
The paint box was constructed from wooden strips, canvas, and small frames. The wall sculpture "Still Life with Flowers" measures 86 x 96 cm and was created in 2024 in Wiesbaden. I first glued or screwed together the color fans, the canvas, and the different types of strips. Acrylic and oil paints, glue, and binder were used for the painting and processing of the artwork.
