The Breeze – Colors on the Rise

A paint-box painting full of lightness

“Die Brise” (110 × 150 × 4 cm, 2013) unfolds a composition that evokes wind and movement. At the top, round color plates in strong blue, violet, red, orange, and yellow line up like floating elements. Below them, rectangular color fields in pink, turquoise, light blue, yellow, and black stand like a rhythmic counterpart.

Drops, splashes and flowing transitions create an impression of airiness, of movement passing through the space. “The Breeze” is a work that embodies dynamism and lightness at the same time – colours in motion, carried by rhythm and energy.

Sold – and now in private ownership

This large-format work from the series “The Paintbox” is now part of a private collection. “The Breeze” shows how Mark Hellbusch stages the effect of color as a vivid, space-filling experience.
