A square paint-box painting full of dynamism

“The Game I” (80 × 80 × 4 cm, 2014) captures the playful character of painting. Luminous red, yellow, and white contrast with rich blue and violet tones. The rectangular color fields in the lower part resemble playing fields, while the round paint pans above them appear like pieces on a colorful board.

Traces of drips, scratches and layers make the energy of the painting process visible. “Das Spiel I” is a work that radiates joy, curiosity and a spirit of experimentation – a celebration for all who understand color as movement and freedom.

Sold – and now in private ownership

This work from the series “Der Farbkasten” is now part of a private collection. It vividly demonstrates how Mark Hellbusch plays with color without abandoning the clear structure of the paint box – a balancing act between order and vibrant chaos.
