Vibrant colors on a round canvas: Splash 42

Experimental art on a rotating, round canvas

The painting “Splash 42” by Mark Hellbusch, painted in 2024, showcases the artist’s innovative technique of creating modern art on a round canvas. Using a “painting machine” – a modified drill – both acrylic and lacquer paints are sprayed onto the canvas as it rotates. This produces unique patterns and dynamic forms.

Radiant orange: dynamic artwork "Splash 42"

The painting "Splash 42" captivates with its bright orange background. On this base there are numerous colorful splashes and lines in a wide range of colors, including blue, green, yellow, red, white, and black. These vibrant splashes and lines are distributed irregularly and convey a sense of energy and movement.

Some lines run in sweeping, circular movements across the entire picture, while others are rendered in shorter, straight or curved strokes. The colors intersect and overlap, creating a profound and complex composition.

The orange background creates a strong contrast to the luminous color splashes, making them appear even more intense. The chaotic yet harmonious distribution of colors and shapes gives the artwork a sense of artistic freedom and expressive power.

Practical elegance and easy handling

The unique "Splash" paintings are not only aesthetically impactful but also practical to handle. Thanks to their round shape and relatively light weight, they can be effortlessly hung on any wall. A simple nail is enough to securely mount the painting and showcase it optimally.
