An intense color space between glow and movement
Claim 161 is an abstract painting driven by the energy of the color red. Across 100 × 120 cm, a dense, vertically structured pictorial space unfolds in which warm reds combine with yellow, blue, and green tones to form a vibrating composition.
Color effect and composition
The composition thrives on a pronounced vertical dynamism. The paint flows, drips and overlaps in numerous layers, creating a vibrant, multi-layered mesh. Especially in the lower area, the red tones condense into an intense, almost glowing structure, while the upper area opens up in a lighter, more atmospheric way.
Here, red functions not only as the dominant color, but as the emotional center of the work. It generates warmth, tension and movement and lends the abstract art an immediate physical presence. Up close, fine lines, splashes and subtle transitions are revealed; from a distance, the painting appears as a cohesive, powerful color field.
Organic process and materiality
As in the series Organic Grounds, Claim 161 also emerges from a process-based approach using acrylic and varnish. Color is poured, splattered and deliberately guided. Chance and control interlock and make the process of creation visible on the surface.
Effect in Space
With its dominant red coloration, Claim 161 makes a strong contemporary statement. The work is particularly suitable for modern living spaces, open architectures or representative business premises where intense abstract art with clear presence is desired.
