Color condensation between flow and dissolution
The pictorial field of Claim 157 is completely permeated by color. Yellow, green, blue and pink tones overlap in dense succession, creating a vibrating surface that evokes rain, growth or flowing energy – without settling on a single interpretation.
The vertical orientation reinforces the impression of movement. Color seems to fall, rise and simultaneously settle within the pictorial space. A tension-filled balance emerges between dynamism and stability, between fleeting gesture and lasting trace.
Abstract painting as a process-based experience
Claim 157 is part of the Organic Grounds series, where painting is understood as an open process. Layering, repetition, and the deliberate overloading of the picture support create a surface that cannot be grasped at a single glance.
Depending on the viewing distance, perception changes: From afar, the work appears cohesive and rhythmic; up close, a complex mesh of individual paint remnants, drips, and lines opens up. The painting remains deliberately open – without a center, without hierarchy.
