Claim 101 - abstract painting - large and modern

Experimental painting leads to the large abstract landscape – abstract paintings by Mark Hellbusch.

The seemingly chaotic application of color creates an "organic" field that is "staked out" by the size of the painting.  Painted with a Mixed media: Acrylic paint, water-mixable oil paint, and varnish. However, the term “painted” does not quite fit this technique. The colors were rather thrown and splashed onto the large canvas; this is also experimental painting, which, through the painting process, leads to a large abstract landscape.

To control the spatial effect, the paint throwing – and thus the color gradients – is repeatedly interrupted for drying phases. The experimental application of paint is repeated with bright colors until a natural diversity  in color and structure emerges.  Above all the colors  yellow and orange, but also red, blue, and white  blend here in a complex artistic way and, through their differently long flows (dot-like and small at the top of the image, linear and large at the bottom), create a perceptible sense of space. The eye keeps lingering on the pattern-free structures, stimulating the viewer in an unfamiliar way. The result is a modern painting in atmospheric, colorful tones for an inspiring interior, for example in the living room.  

Interesting facts about the painting “Claim 101.”

Despite the many colors, "Claim  101 " is rather subtle in its effect and can be enjoyed both in the distance (perception of spatiality) and up close (structure and color diversity). “Claim 101” is signed , in addition, the edges are painted white. The photos you see above were taken by me – as well as I can. Since I am not a professional photographer, the colors you see may differ slightly from the original.
