Experimental painting – the throw of color leads to decorative abstraction.

The painting was created using a mixed technique consisting of acrylic, water-mixable oil paint, and varnish. However, the term “painted” does not quite fit this technique. The colors were rather thrown and splattered, so it is experimental painting. The result is an abstract, decorative painting.

Variety of structure and color in the painting – The size of the color dots and brushstrokes, as well as the changes in brightness, determine the spatial perception.

To control the spatial effect, the throwing of the paint – and thus the flow of color – is repeatedly interrupted for drying phases. This experimental application is repeated with different colors until a natural variety in color and structure emerges. Above all, the complementary colors orange, light blue, dark blue as well as yellow, Indian yellow, red, magenta and white blend here in a complex way and, through their differently long flows (dot-like and small at the top of the picture, linear and large at the bottom), create a perceptible spatiality. The eye repeatedly lingers on the pattern-free structures, stimulating the viewer in an unusual, abstract way. In addition, there is a subtle change in brightness. The further you move down the picture, the more intense the colors become. This creates the impression of standing in front of a meadow or at the edge of a field.

Decoration for a modern ambience.

Despite the many colors, “Claim 105” has a rather subtle effect and can be enjoyed both from a distance (perception of spatiality) and up close (variety of structure and color). The composition is highly reduced and arises entirely from experimenting with the throw. Anyone who likes the colors and structures will be very surprised by the effect: a decorative, modern atmosphere in the living space emerges instantly.
