The seemingly chaotic application of paint creates a large-format “organic” field that is “staked out” by the size of the picture.
Experimental painting leads to an abstract landscape.
The work was created using a mixed technique consisting of acrylic paint, water-mixable oil paint, and varnish. However, the term "painted" doesn’t quite apply to this technique. The colors were more thrown and splattered, so this is experimental painting, which through the painting process leads to an abstract landscape.
Above all, earthy colors for the living space.
To control the spatial effect, the throwing of paint and thus the color flow is repeatedly interrupted for drying phases. The experimental application of paint is repeated with different colors until a natural variety in color and structure emerges. Above all ochre, but also brown, red, yellow, orange, blue, black, and white blend here in a complex way and create a perceptible spatiality through their differently long flows (dot-like and small at the top of the painting, linear and large at the bottom). The eye repeatedly lingers on the pattern-free structures and stimulates the viewer in an unusual way. This results in a painting with predominantly earthy colors for an atmospheric living space.
Good to know about the painting “Claim 108”.
Despite the many colors, “Claim 108” has a rather subtle effect and can be enjoyed both from a distance (perception of spatiality) and up close (variety of structure and color).
“Claim 108” is signed, and the edges are painted white.
