Redwind and Cheetahs – expressive animal painting in warm tones
Artwork description
The painting “Redwind and Cheetahs” (50 x 150 cm, 2005) shows a fascinating group of cheetahs in a horizontal composition. The elongated canvas gives the work an impressive panoramic effect. The animals seem to almost step out of the background – painted in the typical fossil technique with glazes in warm, earthy colors and fine structures. By incorporating natural materials such as leaves and twigs into the priming, a lively relief is created that merges the animals’ bodies with their surroundings. The work combines dynamism with calm and feels like a snapshot from the African savanna.
