Still Life with Flowers – Colours as a sea of blossoms
A paint box as a poetic arrangement
“Still Life with Flowers” (88 × 80 × 4 cm, 2018) transforms the paint box into a modern still life. Instead of real blossoms, strong reds, yellows and oranges appear alongside delicate pastel fields of green, blue and violet. The circular paint pans resemble abstracted flower heads, while the rectangular fields beneath them form a colorful stage.
The visible traces of the painting process – impasto structures, overlays, and spontaneous brushstrokes – make the picture appear both lively and poetic. “Still Life with Flowers” is a work that balances between order and free composition, reinterpreting the diversity of nature in abstract form.
Sold – and now in private ownership
