"Claim 96" from the "Organic Grounds" series – modern pExperimental painting leads to the abstract landscape.

The seemingly chaotic application of paint creates an “organic” field that is “outlined” by the size of the painting. Thus, the title “Claim 96” is to be understood in relation to the picture surface (75 x 65 cm). Painted using a mixed technique, consisting of acrylic paint, water-mixable oil paint, and varnish. However, the term "painted" doesn’t quite apply to this technique. The colors were more thrown and splattered, so this is experimental painting, which through the painting process leads to an abstract landscape.

Above all in green and pink – the color gradient.

To control the spatial effect, the throwing of paint and thus the color flow is repeatedly interrupted for drying phases. The experimental application of paint is repeated with different colors until a natural variety in color and texture emerges. Above all green and pink, but also red, yellow, orange, blue, violet, black, and white blend here in a complex way, creating a perceptible spatiality through their differently long flows (dot-like and small at the top of the painting, linear and large at the bottom). The eye repeatedly lingers on the pattern-free structures, stimulating the viewer in an unusual way. This results in a painting in atmospheric colors for a living space with character.

Interesting facts about the painting “Claim 96.”

Despite the many colors, “Claim 96” has a rather subtle effect and can be enjoyed both from a distance (perception of spatiality) and up close (variety of structure and color).

The mixed technique.

“Claim 96” is signed, and the edges are painted white. The artwork can therefore be displayed immediately – with just two nails in the wall. The painting needs neither a frame nor a varnish – though it can of course have one. I would apply a varnish for you before shipping. You can choose between matte, satin matte, or glossy. However, this is not a recommendation. The mixed technique creates varying degrees of light reflection in the color gradients, which I personally find very stimulating. Additionally, the paints sold nowadays are almost non-yellowing. For a frame, I recommend visiting a specialist shop near you.
