Color in free fall between density, light and movement

Claim 160 is a powerful abstract painting characterized by pronounced vertical dynamism and a high density of color. The work appears open, vibrant and at the same time structured – like a moment of movement frozen in time.

Pictorial structure and painterly language

The painting unfolds as a dense mesh of running paint, drips and layers that extend from top to bottom across the canvas. The vertical orientation defines the character of the work and creates a strong physical presence that evokes gravity, rain, growth or energetic currents.

Radiant yellows, pinks and turquoises dominate the composition and are rhythmically interrupted by blue, red and green accents. Color does not appear as a flat area, but as an event: it flows, overlaps, condenses and opens up ever new visual layers.

Up close, a complex, multi-layered surface structure with fine details and spontaneous traces becomes visible. From a distance, Claim 160 appears as a closed, pulsating color field of high intensity.

Position within the Organic Grounds series

In the series Organic Grounds, Claim 160 explores the picture ground as an active, living space. The canvas becomes the carrier of an organic process in which color is not distributed according to plan, but allowed, guided and made visible in its own behavior.

Effect in Space

Thanks to its portrait format and intense colors, Claim 160 is particularly suitable for modern living spaces, open architecture, galleries or work environments. The work is energizing and space-opening, and its effect changes depending on light, perspective and viewing distance.
