A vibrant color field between condensation and dissolution
Claim 165 is an abstract painting in a 60 × 100 cm format, defined by a dynamic reddish color gradient. The composition unfolds like a pulsating, organically grown structure made up of countless layers of color.
Color gradient and organic structures
The work shows a clear transition from intense, red-dominated areas in the lower pictorial space to a finer, more atmospheric structure toward the top. The paint is poured, splattered and built up in several layers, creating a complex gradient that conveys movement and depth.
The organic structures resemble natural growth processes – irregular, lively, and yet coherent in themselves. Red, orange, and yellow merge with blue and green tones into a vibrating surface that reveals new details both up close and from a distance.
Process and materiality
As in the Organic Grounds series, the process-oriented handling of color is central to Claim 165. Acrylic and lacquer react with each other, flow into one another, and form independent structures. Accidental traces and deliberate interventions intertwine, making the creative process visible.
Effect in Space
With its horizontal orientation and warm, reddish color gradient, Claim 165 is especially suited for modern living spaces, above sofas or sideboards, as well as for representative areas with clear architecture. The work combines organic dynamism with contemporary abstract art, making a lively yet harmonious statement.
