A field of tension between openness and condensation
Claim 185 is an abstract artwork in the 70 × 50 cm format that impresses with its powerful and expressive visual language. A deep blue in the upper area creates an open, calm expanse, while beneath it a dynamically condensed color structure unfolds.
Expression, movement and color energy
The composition draws its life from strong contrasts. The calm, almost homogeneous blue is in dialogue with a multi-layered mesh of reds, yellows, greens and oranges in the lower pictorial space. The paint is poured, splattered and built up in several layers, creating a lively, expressive surface.

About the artist Mark Hellbusch
I have been a freelance painter since 1997 and have worked with a wide variety of themes in painting. While until 2007 I was occupied almost exclusively with expressive painting, today my focus lies more on experimental art.
