“Claim 55” is an intense, large-format acrylic painting measuring 100 × 140 cm, created in 2022. The composition radiates an impressive spatial depth, created by countless vertically flowing layers of paint. Dominant reds, oranges, and yellows run through the picture field, broken up by accents of blue, pink, and white.
The streams of color resemble dense plant growth, an abstracted field in the moment of blooming and fading. The multitude of individual impulses creates an almost musical tempo – rhythmic, multi-layered, luminous.
In collection – but part of the artistic archive
“Claim 55” is now in private hands, but remains visible as a digital part of Atelier Hellbusch’s work archive. It documents a phase of intense painterly concentration in which color becomes not only surface, but also process and energy.
