Field of Mars LXXV - fine modern art with vortex.

The fine, contemporary painting "Field of Mars LXXV" measures 30 x 24 cm and is made from leftover paint. The paint remnants used for this painting are colourful. Acrylic paints, oil paints and leftover lacquer interact with one another in a wide variety of colour, form and size. The sizes of the paint remnants range from very fine dust to paint chunks with a diameter of approx. 2 cm. It is the differences in size of the paint remnants that allow for a composition. They form, compositionally, a whirlpoolIn this way, in modern art a contemporary painting can be created from leftover paint without actually painting. Below are some key facts about the painting.

From a distance, the work appears reddish and sandy. However, the vortex is already clearly recognizable due to its pronounced texture. It only arises at that point through the change in size of the paint residues. If you take a few steps toward the painting, you realize that all paint residues of the Field of Mars are equally colorful. This modern way of experimenting with paint remnants also allows you to buy artwork at an affordable price.

Atmosphere in the living space with a painting made from paint residues.

"Marsfeld LXXV" is a small-format painting. It is shown to best advantage in a bright room. The unusual spatiality – the tangible haptics (three-dimensional) combined with the contrasts (two-dimensional) – together with the simple composition creates a very original and interesting Atmosphere in the living space, which can only be gradually discovered. The spatial and compositional effect is extremely subtle, giving this piece a very fine, elegant, and stimulating presence.

Even larger wall surfaces can be attractively designed with the small Field of Mars pieces: in horizontal or vertical rows.

Good to know about the artwork “Field of Mars CXI”

The special adhesives for cotton and the binder used for this artwork ensure very good adhesion of the paint residue to the canvas. If any paint residue does fall off—perhaps during transport or by curious children's fingers—it's not a big deal: All "Field of Mars" paintings consist of several layers glued paint remnants, so that the canvas remains covered with paint residues even in the case of slight damage.

"Mars" and "Feld".

Abstract art of this kind is not accessible to everyone. Nevertheless, the result of the experiment can spark curiosity. The juxtaposition of old (paint remnants) and new (painting) and the Title "Field of Mars" – incidentally a place of political debate in ancient Rome – evokes associations around the terms "Mars" (planet, destruction, war) and "field" (construction, order).
