Field of Mars CXI – a swirl of paint remnants.
The small-format abstract painting "Marsfeld CXI" (Field of Mars CXI) measures 30 x 24 cm and is made from leftover paint. The paint remnants used for this painting are colorful. Acrylics, oils, and varnish remnants interact in a wide variety of colors, forms, and sizes. The sizes of the paint remnants range from fine dust to paint chunks about 2 cm in diameter. It is the difference in sizes that allows for composition. They form, compositionally, a whirlpool. This shows how, in modern art, an abstract painting can be created from leftover paint without actually painting. Here are some key facts about the painting.

From a distance, the work appears reddish and sandy. However, the vortex is already clearly recognizable due to its pronounced texture. It is created at this point solely by the change in size of the paint remnants. As you step closer to the painting, you notice that all the paint remnants are equally colorful. This modern way of experimenting with paint remnants also allows you to buy artwork at an affordable price.
Atmosphere in your living space with paintings made from paint remnants.
"Field of Mars CXI" is a small-format painting. It looks best in a bright room. The unusual spatiality—the tangible texture (three-dimensional) combined with the contrasts (two-dimensional)—together with the simple composition creates a very original and interesting Atmosphere in the living space, which can only be gradually discovered. The spatial and compositional effect is extremely subtle, giving this piece a very fine, elegant, and stimulating presence.
The "Marsfeld" series is also well suited for display in horizontal or vertical rows.
Interesting facts about the artwork "Field of Mars CXI"
The special adhesives for cotton and the binder used for this artwork ensure very good adhesion of the paint residue to the canvas. If any paint residue does fall off—perhaps during transport or by curious children's fingers—it's not a big deal: All "Field of Mars" paintings consist of several layers glued paint remnants, so that even with minor damage, the canvas remains covered with paint residues.
I always strive to present an authentic image of my work on the website. The photos of the paintings are taken in the studio or next door in the living room. THowever, the colors you see on your monitor may differ slightly from the actual colors in the painting. The images showing the painting in a room were created using the "Smartist" app. This app displays paintings in the exact correct proportions for the space and can also make artworks appear framed in any way you like.
