A three-dimensional art object for the wall
“RE 15” is part of my experimental art series “Remnants of an Experiment”. This work goes far beyond a conventional canvas and transforms into a three-dimensional wall object that occupies the space with its colors and structures, making it an experience. With an impressive depth of 10 cm, “RE 15” becomes a wall sculpture that creates an interaction between the artwork and the viewer.
Due to the multi-dimensional execution, this work feels almost tangible, as if it were jutting out from the wall into the room. The series “Remnants of an Experiment” deals with the reuse of materials and the creative redesign of leftovers from my painting processes. These elements were reassembled in “RE 15” and developed into a harmonious, colorful art object.
The creation of RE 15: Art from everyday materials
“RE 15” is an impressive example of my artistic approach to creating artworks from everyday materials. The paint cups you see in the work come from numerous projects and experiments. Over time, layers of paint accumulated in them, left behind during my work. These “remnants of an experiment” were incorporated into “RE 15” to give them new meaning. From waste to art – and from simple materials emerges an artwork that goes far beyond mere painting.
RE 15 as a wall sculpture: Colors and structures within reach
What makes “RE 15” special is its three-dimensional structure. The colorful circles, which may appear flat at first glance, protrude plastically from the wall. This wall sculpture invites the viewer to experience the work not only visually but almost tactilely. The depth of the work creates a physical presence in the room, making the artwork appear alive. Light and shadow play on the raised elements, giving “RE 15” a constantly changing dynamic. A plexiglass pane protects the work from dust
Dimension and depth: RE 15 as a wall object for special spaces
With dimensions of 123x123 cm and a depth of 10 cm, “RE 15” is more than just a painting. It occupies space in a unique way and transforms the area where it hangs into a center of visual attention. As a wall object, it offers an exciting experience both up close and from a distance. The dimensions of the work ensure that it stands out particularly well in larger spaces – be it in living rooms, galleries, or offices. The depth and structure of the work make it float in the room and provide a new experience from every angle.
Colors in Focus: Vibrant Tones for the colorful wall sculpture
The wall sculpture impresses not only with its structure but also with its vibrant color palette: from bold reds to bright greens and deep blues. These color combinations bring energy to any space and create a sense of liveliness and joy. The combination of bright and dark colorful tones creates a dynamic, spatial interplay that captivates the viewer.
A Symbiosis of Art and Design
This artwork is not only a painting but also a design element. The plastic color circles and the dynamic color combination make “RE 15” a real eye-catcher that seamlessly fits into modern living spaces, offices, or galleries. It combines art and design in a way that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The shapes and colors can serve as a source of inspiration for interior design and give any space an artistic touch.
